Can I get a taster or sample?
At the moment, we do not offer sampler or tasters. We work only against pre-order and so we don’t have extras to hand out as tasters. The only way to taste the cakes before placing a big order is to place a separate order for the minimum quantity (a half kg cake or 6 cupcakes) in each flavour you
would like to taste.
Do you make bento cakes?
We do not take up orders for single bento cakes. Our minimum order for bento cakes is 3 pieces in the same flavour. They can each have a different design.
Is home delivery available?
Sorry, we do not carry out deliveries ourselves. You can either pick it up yourself or book a taxi from my location which will carry it for you. We don't recommend a task runner service (Dunzo, swiggy or similar) as the deliveries are usually carried out by a two-wheeler, which can be a bumpy ride. Also, it's exposed to heat which can cause melting.. An air conditioned car is the best option for pick up. We are based in Malleswaram
Can I get a discount?
Sorry, we don't offer discounts, not even for bulk orders. The main factor that determines the cost of any custom dessert is the time and effort that goes in. The time taken is the same irrespective of whether we are working on the 1st piece or the 500th piece. If you have a budget in mind, do indicate so we can provide options within that.

If you want more details on why we can't afford to give you a discount, we wrote a detailed post on our instagram that you can read here
Are the decorations edible?
Cookie toppers are edible. Certain fondant toppers are edible too. The more complicated figurines and realistic sugar flowers need lots of wires and skewers inside for support. So we don't recommend consuming those. You can preserve them as ornaments/showpieces for a few months after the event. The main reason to make them with an edible medium is to keep it food contact safe.

It goes without saying that if plastic, paper toppers or toys are used, they are non-edible. Do check with us at the time of pick up.
How many servings can I get out of a cake?
Do check with us for our cake servings guide for a detailed answer. But on average, you get 15 small slices per kg of cake.
What is the shelf life of the cakes? And does it need refrigeration?
Most cakes/desserts can be kept in an airconditioned room (20-21 degrees Celsius) for 3-4 hours. If you do not have access to an AC room, please place it in the fridge in the box provided. Take it out of the fridge an hour or so before cutting/serving. Take them out of the box only once its back to room temp, else it will form condensation and some decorations may get sticky or slide down. Serve the cake at room temperature. Our cakes and icings are usually made with butter, chocolate etc which will make it harden in the fridge. It will soften back up once it comes to room temp. Exposure to air- refrigerating or leaving a cake OPEN in an air-conditioned room will dry it out. Please keep it in the box provided for as long as possible.
What's the minimum order?
Cakes - Half kg
Certain flavours and designs may have a higher MOQ than what's mentioned above.
.
2 tier cake - 2 kg (this makes a MINI tier cake which is smaller than an A4 size paper), If you'd like both tiers to have different flavours, minimum order is 3kg.
.
3 tier cake- 5 kg
We can use dummy cakes to give the appearance of a larger cake, while keeping cake servings to a minimum. (The difference in cost will be only for the base cake. Icing and decoration charges will be the same as real cake as it takes the same effort and material)
.
Cupcakes, Cakesicles - 6 pieces per flavour. Increments of 6 only (so 6,12,18,24,30 and so on...)
Mini cupcakes, cake pops, decorated cookies- 12 pieces per flavour. Increments of 6 only (so 12,18,24,30,36 and so on...)
.
Treat boxes and Dessert tables can be made with a combination of the above, same minimum order quantities apply.
.
For return gifts or hampers, minimum order is 6 boxes.
Can I pay 50% in advance and 50% at or after pick-up?
Sorry, we work only against fully pre-paid orders. If your order value is above Rs. 10,000, you have the option to pay in 2 installments (minimum 50% first installment ). However, both installments need to be completed 4 days prior to the date of pick-up. Please read our full terms and conditions for more details. This is available at the end of our order form.
Can I visit your shop?
This is the most common question we get asked! We do not own a shop or studio (yet) and do all the baking and decoration from home. We bake only to order and only on pre-orders, so we may not have anything ready for you to see if you come over. We discuss all our orders online.
Can theme cakes be done with half kg?
Certain designs can be made with half kg. However, the amount of work that goes into a half kg cake is almost the same as a 1kg. For example, it takes the same amount of time and material to make a figurine irrespective of whether
it’s for a 1kg or half kg. So please don’t go in for a half kg cake expecting it to cost less. Do it only if you want fewer servings of cake.
Do you cater to special diets?
As of now, we do not cater to special diets. Do inform us of any food related allergies at the time of ordering, so we can be careful. However, we are not an allergen-free kitchen.
